PARIS, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Toulouse finished five matches without a win following their 1-1 draw with Nice at home in the ninth round match of Ligue 1 on Friday.

Following a glittering start of the season with three wins from four matches, Toulouse came into Friday's action winless in four matches.

Their sluggishness continued as Nice opened the scoring in the 29th minute through a fast break. Myziane Maolida marched forward rapidly and released Bassem Srarfi for a low shot past goalkeeper Baptiste Reynet.

Toulouse managed to cancel out their opponents' lead in the 54th minute, when Mathieu Dossevi was left unmarked at the far post to latch onto Manu Garcia's cross before sweeping home.

Both sides failed to create glorious scoring chances afterwards to see the score set at 1-1.

Toulouse remain seventh with one more game played, while Nice provisionally move up to 10th.

Second-placed Lille will take on Saint-Etienne on Saturday. Highlight action of the round will arrive on Sunday, when defending champions Paris Saint-Germain face Lyon, looking for their record-breaking ninth straight victory since the start of the campaign.
