RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Moura has been recalled to Brazil's national squad for upcoming friendlies in Saudi Arabia after a two-year absence, the country's football confederation (CBF) said on Monday.
The 26-year-old replaces Gremio forward Everton, who was forced to withdraw because of an unspecified muscle injury, the CBF said in a statement.
Moura, who has been capped 34 times for Brazil, has made just three international appearances in the past five years.
Brazil will play Saudi Arabia in Riyadh on Oct. 12 and Argentina in Jeddah four days later.
Last week, Brazil coach Tite also drafted Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luis into his squad after the withdrawal of Real Madrid's Marcelo because of injury. Enditem
