NAIROBI, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Japanese truck and bus manufacturer Isuzu Motors on Monday launched the first Isuzu service center in Africa at its assembly plant in Nairobi.

Managing Executive Officer of Isuzu Motors Limited Makoto Kawahara said Isuzu East Africa will continue to receive support from the parent company to ensure it delivered quality service to customers.

"The launch of the first ever Isuzu certified service center in Africa is testimony of the company's dedication and commitment to provide absolute, reliable and professional customer service," Kawahara said.

Isuzu General Manager for Middle East Tomokazu Ito said the process to accredit the service center started in May last year and went through nine evaluation stages.

"The verification procedure was thorough and rigorous. We shall monitor the workshop for the next one year and if the facility fails to maintain Isuzu standards, we will cancel the certification," Ito said. Enditem
