MEXICO CITY, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Mexico will play Argentina twice in four days during the year's final FIFA international friendly window next month, the Mexican Football Federation said on Wednesday.
The matches will be played on Nov. 17 and 20 in Argentina, with the venues yet to be determined.
"We've reached an agreement with the Argentina Football Association for the matches," Mexican federation spokeswoman Beatriz Ramos said. "We're very happy about the opponent and to play as visitors at such an important moment."
The teams last met in September 2015 when a late Lionel Messi goal earned the Albiceleste a 2-2 draw in Dallas, Texas.
Mexico and Argentina currently have interim managers after both teams were knocked out in the round of 16 of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Brazil-born Tuca Ferretti took over as Mexico boss from Colombian Juan Carlos Osorio while former Deportivo La Coruna wingback Lionel Scaloni replaced Jorge Sampaoli as the caretaker Albiceleste coach.
