BEIRUT, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- The deputy spokesman of United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said on Sunday that the UNIFIL is investigating the explosion in southern Lebanon, local media reported.

According to the National News Agency (NNA), an explosion was heard Sunday evening between Halousiya and Zrarieh, which coincided with fly-overs of Israeli military planes in Lebanon's airspace.

NNA reported that the explosion resulted from an Israeli drone, destroying one of Israel's spying devices in southern Lebanon.

This is not the first time that Israel destroys such devices.

In 2012, Israel destroyed three spying devices discovered in the villages of Zrariye and Rzay, north of the Litani River.
