BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan on Monday met with attendees of the sixth China-France young leaders' forum in Beijing, calling for more exchanges between young people of the two countries.

"Human society has many common opportunities, risks and challenges, which no single country can handle alone, as economic globalization is the inevitable trend," Wang said.

The two sides should strengthen understanding, dialogue and cooperation in all fields, realize the blueprint of China-France relations in the new era mapped out by the two leaders, and make joint efforts to promote the building of a community with a shared future for humanity, said Wang.

He said the young people of the two countries should continue to strengthen exchanges, enhance understanding and deepen cooperation, so as to contribute to building more dynamic and sustainable bilateral ties.

The attendees said the forum is an important platform for exchanges between the young people of the two countries and will continue to gather consensus, promote cooperation, and push for the progress of China-France relations and world peace and development.

The forum is co-hosted by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the France China Foundation. The first forum was held in France in late August 2013.
