FRANKFURT, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 90.35 points, or 0.78 percent, to close at 11,614.16 points.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.64 percent. Deutsche Bank and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 2.70 percent and 2.39 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.64 percent. Tire specialist Continental went down by 0.89 percent. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp decreased by 0.35 percent.
Volkswagen was the most-traded share with a turnover of 235.93 million euros (273.20 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
