BEIRUT, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Around 15 people belonging to Fatah and Houthi were injured in Mieh Mieh Camp in southern Lebanon due to a fight between members of the two groups, local media reported Monday.

"The fight escalated and resulted in rockets firing," according to Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.

The statement said that injured people were transferred to nearby hospitals.

Mieh Mieh camp is a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, located on the outskirts of Mieh Mieh village four km east of Sidon city.

The camp has witnessed tensions among its refugees in the past years.

Some 450,000 refugees are registered with UNRWA in Lebanon, with many living in the country's 12 refugee camps.

Palestine refugees represent an estimated 10 percent of the population of Lebanon.
