The Deqing Geographic Information Town is located in the Mogan Mountain National Hi-tech Industry Development Zone in Deqing. The town started construction in 2011. It has attracted more than 200 geographic information enterprises, and gathered more than 3,000 domestic and foreign talents. In 2017, its total revenues stood at 6.5 billion yuan (939.31 million U.S. dollars) and the tax revenue at 463 million yuan (67 million U.S. dollars). An industrial chain covering data acquisition, processing, application and services has taken shape, making the town a source of entrepreneurial innovation of geographic technology.
