ADDIS ABABA, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Monday.

-- The government of Ethiopia and the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) on Sunday signed a peace deal in the Eritrean capital Asmara that culminate one of the oldest arms struggle in Ethiopia.

The two have held a productive discussion and reached historic deal that allowed the ONLF to undertake peaceful political struggle in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian parliament has removed ONLF from terrorist list recently. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- Three people were killed due to the disagreement occurred on Sunday between a group operating under the guise of identity and security forces in Tigray regional state of Ethiopia, the state's public relations bureau said.

Security forces were also hurt in the incident, the bureau said in a statement on Monday. (FBC)

-- Doctors at St. Peter Specialized hospital in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa removed 120 nails, a safety pin, two needles, two toothpicks and two broken glass cups from a patient stomach.

The doctors removed the aforementioned materials from a 33-year old patient, who has had a mental problem for the past ten years, and went to the Hospital as he had developed abdominal bloating and pain. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)
