JAKARTA, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia has set up a meeting with Group B leader Japan for a berth in the semifinals at the AFC U-19 Championship after finishing second in Group A.

Indonesian head coach Indra Safrie says that he has evaluated his players and is ready for the match on Oct. 28 in Jakarta.

"I will watch the match (against Iraq) in the Pekansari Sport Stadium (in West Java). The Japanese team has previously met with the Indonesian team. At that time their strength was close to what it is now. Certainly that will be guidance for us," he said, referring to a friendly match between the two teams on March 25, 2017.

Japan secured the top position in Group B before their last group match against Iraq. Safrie said he would also take a close look at the Japanese players on the opposing side.

Japan won the AFC U-19 Championship in Bahrain in 2016.
