Shanghai SIPG beat Shandong Luneng 4-2 to top Chinese Super League table

BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Wu Lei and Brazilian striker Hulk both scored twice to help Shanghai SIPG to beat third-placed Shandong Luneng 4-2 at home and kept the lead in the Chinese Super League table on Sunday.

Wu broke the deadlock for Shanghai SIPG in the 15th minute and he was brought down in the penalty box by Han Rongze, goalkeeper of Shandong Luneng, in the 24th minute to earn a penalty for Hulk to convert.

Hulk scored in the 43rd minute through the second penalty kick. Italian midfielder Graziano Pelle scored twice to close the gap for Luneng, but Wu scored again in the 88th minute to give Shanghai SIPG the victory.

Guangzhou Evergrande beat bottom-placed Guizhou Hengfeng 3-0 to see a five-game winning streak and continued to take the second place in the table, two points less than Shanghai SIPG.

Zhang Chenglin scored in the 37th minute connecting Brazilian striker Anderson Talisca's pass and Yu Hanchao's header extended Guangzhou's lead in the 52nd minute. Talisca added the third goal in the 73rd minute to seal the win.

In other games, Henan Jian beat Beijing Guoan 2-0 and Shanghai Shenhua defeated Tianjin Teda 4-2.
