Vietnam's HCM City to host int'l guitar festival

HO CHI MINH CITY, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- An international guitar festival will be held on Oct. 31-Nov. 4, with the participation of dozens of Vietnamese and foreign soloists, the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music said Monday.

Well-known guitarists from the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, the United States and Vietnam, including Gerard Abiton and Rene Izquierdo, will perform the compositions by Bach, Schubert, Vivaldi and other famous composers.

Guitar workshops and master classes will also be organized during the five-day festival.
