RIYADH, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received here on Thursday a delegation of U.S. Evangelical Christian leaders, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The delegation is currently on a visit to the kingdom as part of a tour of the region.
The meeting between the crown prince and the delegation affirmed the importance of exerting joint efforts in promoting co-existence, tolerance and combating extremism and terrorism.
The meeting was part of the new approach of Saudi Arabia in implementing reforms that tackle different economic and social aspects of the country.
The kingdom has been taking solid steps to change decades of a conservative image through many initiatives, mainly woman empowerment such as allowing females to drive and watch football matches.
