CHINA-LATE NANJING MASSACRE SURVIVOR-COMMEMORATION ACTIVITY (CN)

Staff members and relatives of late Nanjing Massacre survivors Chen Guangshun, Wang Xiuying and Zhao Jinhua attend a commemoration ceremony at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, Dec. 6, 2018. A total of 20 survivors have passed away this year, according to the Memorial Hall. The Nanjing Massacre took place when Japanese troops captured the city on Dec. 13, 1937. Over six weeks, they killed 300,000 Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers. The survivors are living witnesses of the massacre. However, there are now less than 100 registered survivors, official data showed. (Xinhua/Sun Can)
