KUNMING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's Nurafshon Inter defeated Shenyang Urban of China 2-0 in the 2018 Belt and Road Colourful Yunnan International Football Tournament here on Saturday.
Nurafshon started strongly and after missing several chances in the first half, opened the scoring in the 37th minute through striker Farrukh Shotursunov.
Into the second half, and though Shenyang Urban fought hard to level the scores, no goal was forthcoming for the Chinese side, who were further punished for their profligacy in the 75th minute, when Shotursunov converted a penalty to make the final score 2-0 to Nurafshon.
Earlier in the day, China's Nantong Zhiyun beat Pakistani side Mehran FC 3-0.
