Iraqi PM says reopening of Baghdad's Green Zone "irreversible"

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Tuesday said that the reopening of the heavily fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad is "irreversible." Mahdi's comments came a day after the partial and temporal opening of the Green Zone for five hours in the evening, from local time 5:00 p.m. (1400 GMT) to 10 p.m. (1900 GMT) for two weeks in order to evaluate the security situation.
