CHICAGO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures rise slightly on Thursday morning, as more export sales to China were reported on Wednesday.
Private exporters reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales of 1.199 million metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China this week, following 1.43 million metric tons to the same destination last week.
Traders anticipated that China would buy more U.S. soybeans, analysts said. The continued trade optimism boosted morning soybeans market.
As of 1520 GMT, the most active March soybeans were up 2.5 cents at 9.155 dollars per bushel. March wheat was up 5.25 cents at 5.2775 dollars per bushel. March corn was up 0.5 cent at 3.8225 dollars per bushel.
As for weather forecast for agricultural crop, extremely strong winds are expected in much of central Kansas on Thursday, increasing chances of wildfires, according to the National Weather Service. Enditem
