KIEV, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian soccer club Shakhtar Donetsk said Friday that it has signed the 19-year-old Israeli midfielder Manor Solomon from Maccabi Petach-Tikva.
The Israeli international, who is among the top 50 European young football talents according to uefa.com, joined the Ukrainian team on a five-year deal, Shakhtar said on its website.
No official details on the transfer fee is available, but local media estimated that Shakhtar paid about 6.9 million U.S. dollars for the player.
Solomon, who plays as an attacking midfielder, made 67 appearances in the Israeli league and scored eight goals since November 2016.
In September 2018, Solomon debuted for the Israeli national team. Enditem
