NANNING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Police in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region arrested four people involved in a cross-border drug trafficking ring and seized over 10 kg of heroin and methamphetamine, local authorities said Friday.

At the end of last year, police in the city of Fangchenggang received information that a gang was cooperating with drug dealers in Myanmar to transport drugs to China.

The police intercepted three suspects in the city on Jan. 2, and found 30 blocks of heroin and one bag of methamphetamine, weighing about 11.5 kg in total in their vehicle.

Another suspect was caught on Jan. 15. Four cars used for transporting drugs and 700,000 yuan (about 103,280 U.S. dollars) of drug money were seized.
