FRANKFURT, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 46.09 points, or 0.41 percent, to close at 11,090.11 points.
Material manufacturer Covestro lost 3.15 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, which lost 2.30 percent and 1.84 percent respectively.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard gained 1.88 percent, becoming the top gainer. German airlines Lufthansa and multinational chemical firm Linde advanced 1.43 percent and 1.32 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share with a turnover of 213.1 million euros (241.8 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
