LONDON, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- South London was the place for upsets and drama in the fourth round of the FA Cup as Premier League sides West Ham United and Everton were sent crashing out of the competition by lower league rivals and Tottenham saw their interest in a second cup ended in less than a week.

AFC Wimbledon's 4-2 win over West Ham United brought back memories of Wimbledon's 1988 Cup final win over Liverpool, but this was the first time the new incantation of Wimbledon had even reached the fourth round.

Nevertheless, under the guidance of one of those FC Cup winning heroes, Wally Downes, and watched by others, such as Vinny Jones, in the stands, the League One (third tier) side were 3-0 ahead after 46 minutes thanks partly to 2 goals from Scott Wagstaff.

Although Lucas Perez and Felipe Anderson got West Ham back into the game, Toby Sibbick's 88th minute goal was enough to seal a historic win and leave West Ham coach Manuel Pellegrini admitting he was "ashamed" by his side's display.

Everton also went out of the Cup 3-2 away to Millwall (19th in the Championship), who have now won their last 5 FC Cup games at home to top-flight opposition.

Everton can justifiably feel annoyed after Jake Cooper's 75th minute goal went in off his arm to make it 2-2, but a Premier League side shouldn't lead twice and twice be pegged back.

Cooper's goal set up Murray Wallace for a dramatic winner in the 4th minute of injury time and the only bad news for Millwall were reports of pre-game clashes between fans which will only worsen the reputation of their supporters.

Crystal Palace ended a bad week for Tottenham Hotspurs, who lost their League Cup semi-final on penalties to Chelsea during the week. Goals from Connor Wickham and former Spurs winger Andros Townsend gave Palace a 2-0 win and ended Tottenham's interest in the Cup for this year.

Chelsea had few problems progressing into the last 16 with a 2-0 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday with 2 goals from Willian and youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has apparently asked for a move in order to get more game time.

It was a good weekend for lower league sides as Doncaster Rovers beat Oldham Athletic 2-1 to book their place in the fifth round for the first time in 63 years.

Portsmouth held Queens Park Rangers to a 1-1 draw in a sold out Fratton Park, while the Championship's West Brom produced a battling display to hold Brighton to a 0-0 draw.

League Two's Newport County, continue to write headlines after knocking Leicester City out in the 3rd round. This time Matthew Dolan scored a 93rd minute goal to give the Welsh side a 1-1 draw away to Championship high-fliers, Middlesbrough.

Elsewhere Manchester City brushed Burnley aside 5-0 as Pep Guardiola played a full strength team, while two goals in the last half hour gave Watford a 2-0 win away to Newcastle United and once again highlighted the limitations in Rafael Benitez's squad.

Friday saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make it 8 consecutive wins after taking over at Manchester United as his team won 3-1 away to Arsenal in the biggest tie of the round. Alexis Sanchez scored against his former club, while Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial rounded off the scoring for the visitors.
