Taiwan to hold combined elections in 2020

TAIPEI, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan will continue its combined elections for the island's leader and legislative body, with voting taking place on the same day in 2020, according to the island's election affairs authorities Thursday.

The precise date for the combined elections will be determined after further discussion, the authorities said.

The combination formula was adopted in two previous elections, and the vote will be in January in principle.
