KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait provided new humanitarian supplies to Yemen on Thursday, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said.
Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Hilal Al-Sayer said that a convoy boarding 100 tons of necessities is on its way to Yemen to distribute humanitarian supplies to 41,000 people in various regions of the war-torn country.
The urgent relief convoy was dispatched to displaced Yemenis in several governorates of this country, he added.
The KRCS, in addition to dispatching a chain of humanitarian convoys, has funded medical centers, hospitals, orphanage houses and schools in Yemen.
It also installed a solar system in a village on the island of Socotra, according to the report.
