KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 International Arabian Horse Festival kicked off on Thursday in Kuwait with participation of 278 horses from Kuwait and other countries.
The three-day championship started at the Arabian Horse Center with a beauty competition for colts and fillies, said Abdullah Al-Braihi, the festival manager.
A second section of the event, Al-Braihi said, is the fourth Egyptian Arabian horse competition scheduled for Feb. 15-16.
A total of 158 horses will participate in the second competition, he added.
