THE HAGUE, Feb. 10(Xinhua) -- Dutch league leaders PSV drew 2-2 at FC Utrecht on Sunday, falling to put main rivals Ajax on eight points.
Ajax suffered their second defeat of 2019 on Saturday, 1-0 against Heracles Almelo. Mohammed Osman produced the winning goal in the 17th minute.
Dusan Tadic and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar were among the Ajax players who missed chances on the equalizer.
PSV were supposed to enlarge the margin with Ajax to eight points on Sunday. However, PSV only managed to get a draw.
Sander van de Streek headed in the opening goal and Gyrano Kerk gave the home-team a 2-0 lead. It was Eredivisie top scorer Luuk de Jong who saved a point for PSV with two goals, his 19th and 20th of the season, in the second half.
On Saturday, Feyenoord beat De Graafschap 4-0 thanks to goals by Tonny Vilhena, Calvin Verdonk, Jerry St. Juste and Jens Toornstra. PSV now lead the Eredivisie with 56 points from 21 matches, followed by Ajax with 50 points and Feyenoord 42 points.
