TEHRAN, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- A top Iranian military commander said on Tuesday that the upcoming anti-Iran meeting in Poland's capital Warsaw will fail to influence Iran's policies, official IRNA news agency reported.

The hostile meeting will fail to undermine Iran's power, said Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Baqeri.

The two-day Middle East Security Meeting, to be co-hosted by the United States and Poland, will open in Warsaw on Wednesday to discuss the Middle East political situation and the role of Iran in regional developments.

Poland has pledged that the meeting will not include any anti-Iran discussions, Baqeri told IRNA.

In effect, the outcome of meeting is "insignificant," the Iranian commander added.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said earlier that the anti-Iran meeting in the Polish capital has already failed to reach its objectives.
