SARAJEVO, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The 14th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOF 2019) lowered the curtain in Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH's) city of East Sarajevo on Friday.

Norway topped the medal standings with six gold, one silver and five bronze medals, followed by Switzerland with 5-5-2, and France 4-3-4.

At the closing ceremony, BiH Chairman of Presidency Milorad Dodik said that this event was an opportunity to show that citizens of BiH are traditionally good hosts.

After the Olympic flame was extinguished, Organizers handed over the flag to the representatives of Finnish city of Vuokatti, the next host of EYOF.

From Feb. 10-15, 2019, EYOF brought in Sarajevo and Eastern Sarajevo some 1,600 athletes aged 14-18 competing in eight sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, figure skating, ice hockey, short track speed skating, snowboarding and curling.
