24 killed by IS land mine in central Syria

DAMASCUS, Feb.24 (Xinhua) -- At least 24 civilians were killed Sunday when a land mine exploded in central Syria, state news agency SANA reported.

The land mine is from the leftovers of the Islamic State (IS) militants, which ripped through workers' bus in the Salamiyeh area, according to the report.

Bombs left by rebels ahead of their defeat or withdrawal exploded multiple times in some areas of Syria.
