BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Fujian Province on the Chinese mainland is prepared for supplying electricity to the Kinmen and Matsu islands, said An Fengshan, a spokesperson with the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, on Wednesday.
Fujian also planned to supply water to Matsu, An said at a press conference, adding that the provincial government has finished the planning and conducted preliminary preparation.
The mainland will also work to promote infrastructure connectivity among Fujian, Kinmen and Matsu in other sectors such as gas supply and building bridges, he said.
"The mainland would like to try every effort to create opportunities and provide favorable conditions for residents of Kinmen and Matsu to realize faster and better development," he said.
When commenting on how business people from Taiwan may benefit from the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, An said that the project will allow Taiwan firms to apply their technological advantages and provide them with bigger business opportunities.
"The mainland welcomes business people from Taiwan to participate in the project," he said.
