Chinese shares close higher at midday Friday

BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares closed higher at midday Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.14 percent to close at 2,945.05 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went up 0.05 percent to 9,036.36 points at midday.
