HANOI, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's U-22 football team has aimed to bring home the gold medal at the coming 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games slated for between Nov. 30 and Dec. 11 in the Philippines, according to the Vietnam Football Federation on Sunday.

Vietnam has recently appointed South Korean Lee Young-jin to lead its U-22 squad, who has the same football philosophy as Park Hang-seo, head coach of Vietnam's national football team, the federation said.

Late last month, Vietnam's U-22 team won the bronze medal at the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-22 Youth Championship in Cambodia.

Vietnam is scheduled host the 31st SEA Games in 2021, the country's General Department of Sports and Physical Training said, noting that the biennial sport event will be held in the capital of Hanoi and surrounding Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh. Enditem
