TEHRAN, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Iranian top-flight football club Machine Sazi has signed Scottish winger Jai Quitongo, according to local media reports on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the Tabriz-based outfit.
Throughout his youth career, Quitongo played for Scottish sides Hamilton Academical and Aberdeen, before beginning his professional career with Greenock Morton and later Partick Thistle.
Quitongo is also a one-time capped Scotland U-21 internationalist.
Machine Sazi hope to receive Quitongo's international clearance in time for Thursday's Tabriz Derby against Tractor Sazi.
Machine Sazi currently sit eighth in the Iran Professional League (IPL) with 22 points from 20 matches.
