BERLIN, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Thomas Muller, Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummls not be considered in Joachim Low's planning for the upcoming tournaments, the Germany head coach announced on Tuesday.

Low already informed the three Bayern Munich players that they will be omitted for the international squad.

"2019 is the year of the new start for the German national team. It was important to me to explain to the players and those responsible at Bayern my thoughts and plans in person," Low said.

The end of the Bayern trio is one of the first measures of Joachim Low after the upsetting group-stage exit of the 2014 world champions at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

"I thank Mats, Jerome and Thomas for many successful, extraordinary and unique years we shared," Low added.

"I welcome the fact that he is now resolutely advancing the upheaval of our national team. The start of the qualification for the Euro 2020 in the right time for personnel change," DFB president Reinhard Grindel said.

Hummels and Muller made their debut for the national team in 2010. Muller made ever since 100 appearances while Hummels played 70 international caps. Boateng made his first international game in 2009 and was capped 76 times.

"I was always extremely proud to be able to wear the national team's jersey, and above all I will never forget the summer of 2014. Even so, I would have liked a different farewell for us, of course. I wish the national team the best of luck for the future," Boateng said.

The German national team will face Serbia for a test match on March 20 before their travel to the Netherlands for Euro 2020 qualification four days later.
