RIO DE JANEIRO, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil forward Neymar returned to France on Wednesday to complete the final stage of his recovery from a fractured foot.

Neymar was given permission by PSG to spend 12 days in Brazil, where he underwent daily physiotherapy to help heal a broken fifth metatarsal of his right foot.

"I'm returning home," the 27-year-old said in an Instagram post with an image of his raised legs inside his private jet.

Neymar created controversy on Friday when he was seen dancing during a Carnival party in the northeastern city of Salvador, just three days after discarding the crutches he had been using since late January.

The former Santos and Barcelona star is expected to attend the second leg of PSG's Champions League round of 16 match against Manchester United at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

According to PSG, the No. 10 is on track to return to action in April.
