Iran's non-oil trade with OIC reaches 29.63 bln USD in 10 months

TEHRAN, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Iran traded 59.13 million tons of non-oil commodities worth 29.63 billion U.S. dollars with the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.

The figures registered a 9.77-percent growth in weight and 2.71-percent increase in value compared with last year's corresponding period.

Iran's exports totaled 54.89 million tons worth 21.86 billion dollars during the period. Iran mainly exported liquefied natural gas, gas condensates, low-density oils, mineral oils, gas, and bitumen to OIC member states.

Iran's imports stood at 4.24 million tons worth 7.77 billion dollars. Major commodities imported to Iran from OIC nations included cellphones, steam turbines' parts, rice, boneless frozen cow parts and butter.

Founded in 1969, the OIC is an international organization consisting of 57 member states, including Iran, with 47 countries being Muslim majority countries.
