TEHRAN, March 9 (Xinhua) -- The winger of Iran's Persepolis soccer team, Mehdi Torabi, may miss the crucial match against Al Sadd of Qatar in Group D of the AFC Champions League due to a foot injury, local media reported Saturday.
Torabi suffered a right foot injury in the match against Nassaji Mazandaran in the Iranian Professional League on Friday, according to Tehran Times daily.
Torabi's absence will be a big blow for the last season's runners-up.
Persepolis will travel to Doha on Sunday to face the Qatari giants at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Persepolis were held to a 1-1 draw by Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan in their opener, while Al Sadd lost to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia 2-0 in Jeddah.
