NAIROBI, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Kenya will travel to Ghana for their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday without star striker Michael Olunga, who will be out for three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) said head coach Sebastien Migne had called up Jesse Were, who plays for Zambian champions Zesco United, to replace Olunga in the squad.

"Influential Harambee Stars forward Michael Olunga is out of contention for a place in Kenya's final squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana."

"This is following a hamstring injury the forward picked up in Kashiwa Reysol's 1-0 win over Albirex Niigata that has since ruled him out for the next three weeks," the federation announced in a statement. Enditem
