CHICAGO, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures rebounded on Tuesday morning, following sharp falls during the previous session.

As of 1539 GMT, the most active corn contract for May delivery was up 1.75 cents to 3.6375 U.S. dollars per bushel. May wheat was up 19.75 cents to 4.4825 dollars per bushel. May soybeans were up 2.5 cents to 8.925 dollars per bushel.

Bargain hunting and short covering pushed up CBOT wheat prices sharply, said market watchers.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Tuesday morning released its export inspections report for the week ending March 7, showing fall in corn export inspections and rises in wheat and soybeans.

According to the latest weekly report, wheat examinations jumped to 592,001 metric tons from 488,829 metric tons in the previous period, a bullish development for CBOT wheat which is facing stiff international competition. Enditem
