PARIS, March 20 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.80 percent, or 43.24 points, to close at 5,382.66 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 32 lost in the day.
French banking group Societe Generale lost 2.63 percent. French global automotive supplier Valeo lost 3.21 percent and, French multinational automobile manufacturer Peugeot went down by 3.23 percent.
French fashion luxury goods manufacturer Hermes Intl advanced 1.08 percent. French multinational electric utility company Engie S.A. rose 0.72 percent. French multinational company which supplies industrial gases and services to various industries Air Liquide rose 0.54 percent. Enditem
