Further analysis by gender revealed that the ratio of Internet use among males aged 12 or above stood at 88.2 percent, 3.5 percentage points higher than females.

Those aged between 12 and 49 recorded an Internet use ratio over 97 percent, but only 42.8 percent of people aged above 65 were using the Internet, according to the survey.
