Spurs retires Manu Ginobili's No.20 jersey

WASHINGTON, March 29 (Xinhua) -- The San Antonio Spurs retired four-time NBA championship winner Manu Ginobili's No. 20 jersey after they won over the Cleveland Cavaliers 116-110 on Thursday night.

The Argentine legend's former teammates Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Fabricio Oberto and coach Gregg Popovich each delivered speeches during the ceremony.

"It was not even a second thought," Ginobili said. "Not one Argentinian in history had made it to the NBA. So why was it going to be me? There was no way me or anyone that was near me could ever envision a career like this."

As an remarkable sixth man, Ginobili was picked in overall 54th in 2002 and spent his whole career of 16 years for Spurs with 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists averagely in 1057 games (706 substituted).
