"Dutch Days in Hong Kong" pays tribute to Rembrandt as innovator

HONG KONG, March 29 (Xinhua) -- The Dutch Consulate General in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) announced Friday the start of "Dutch Days in Hong Kong 2019", which will pay tribute to Dutch legendary artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn as an innovator.

"Dutch Days in Hong Kong", a series of events held every April since 2015, aims at introducing Dutch culture and innovation to Hong Kong, and fostering cultural and intellectual exchanges between the two places.

This year marks the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt's death, so "Dutch Days in Hong Kong 2019", with the theme "Rembrandt as Innovator", will pay tribute to the innovativeness of this legendary master of the Dutch Golden Age, said Dutch Consul General in Hong Kong Annemieke Ruigrok.

"Dutch Days in Hong Kong", co-organized by the Dutch Consulate General in Hong Kong and AsiaWeek Hong Kong, in on its fifth edition this year.
