BEIJING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Public Security said Friday that it had detained 8,054 people on charges of forging official documents, seals and certificates amid a national campaign to crack down on such criminal activities.
Police across the country have busted 7,502 cases involving counterfeit seals, certificates and official documents.
During the campaign, a number of major cases were broken up, said Li Jingsheng, head of the ministry's security administration bureau, adding the clampdown has effectively deterred the illegal activities.
The ministry also published 10 typical cases concerning forging official documents and related transactions in 2018.
