WASHINGTON, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Carl-Anthony Towns hit a free throw with 0.5 second remaining in overtime while the Minnesota Timberwolves edged the Golden State Warriors 131-130 on Friday night.

Stephen Curry started the game with four three-pointers in the first quarter which helped the Warriors led 32-27.

Anthony Tolliver ended Minnesota's drought with a jump shot, but they couldn't overturn. Curry and Clay Thompson, the Splash Brothers, took a 12-0 run to power Golden State to 68-54 into halftime break.

When the Warriors built a 19-point lead, it looked like a foregone conclusion. Minnesota bounced back with a 8-0 run to cut the deficit and Tolliver hit a three-pointer to put the Timberwolves on top at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Unstoppable Curry continued his highlighted performance with another 3-pointer that closed Golden State to 114-115. Dramond Green shot 1-of-2 on free throw lines to tied it up, and then Andrew Wiggins missed two chance to end it in regular time.

After the Timberwolves took a 128-119 lead on a three-pointer by Josh Okogie, Curry answered three times from beyond the arc and tied 130-all to leave 8 seconds to play. However, Towns was fouled by Durant, which let the Minisota's all-star center hit a free throw to edge Warriors with 131-130.

Wiggins's 24 points led eight Minnesota players in double-digit as Curry scored 37 points, including eleven 3-balls.
