LONDON, April 2 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 1.01 percent, or 73.74 points, to close at 7,391.12 points.
NMC Health, a private healthcare services provider, soared 4.19 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Hargreaves Lansdown and Standard Chartered increased by 4.10 percent and 3.43 percent, respectively.
Hikma Pharmaceuticals, a multinational pharmaceutical company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 1.52 percent.
