ATHENS, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Panathinaikos B.C. did what it had to do on Thursday night in OAKA stadium in Athens, beating KK Buducnost 87-67 to enter the quarterfinals of Euroleague.

Nick Calathes of Panathinaikos was once again the VIP of the game. He collected 11 points, 11 rebounds and 18 assists, becoming the second player ever to achieve a triple-double in the history of Euroleague after Nicola Vujisic's achievement for Maccabi in 2005.

In the first half, the two teams were close at the score due to loose defense on both sides. But the second half witnessed a different Panathinaikos.

James Gist and Thomas Deshaun were also excellent for Panathinaikos, scoring 23 and 17 points respectively.
