TOKYO, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks lost ground Thursday morning as selling of exporter issues was propelled by the yen's rise against the U.S. dollar.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 59.70 points, or 0.28 percent, from Wednesday to 21,627.87.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 7.06 points, or 0.44 percent, at 1,600.60.
Real estate, bank and securities house-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break. Enditem
