BEIJING, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Zhao Leji, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met with Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean Thursday in Beijing.

Zhao, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the two sides have continuously deepened cooperation in various fields, actively promoted the construction of three platforms including interconnection, financial support and tripartite cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The two countries have created two highlights of cooperation including a new land-sea freight route and the third-party market, as well as enriching their all-around cooperation, said Zhao.

The Belt and Road Initiative has brought great opportunities to China-Singapore ties, Zhao said, adding that China is willing to work with the Singapore side to deepen pragmatic cooperation in areas of economy and trade, finance, law enforcement and security, social governance, talent training and anti-corruption and push the bilateral ties to achieve greater development.

Teo Chee Hean said Singapore is willing to further dock with the Belt and Road Initiative and other development initiatives under the guidance of the leaders of the two countries and push the bilateral pragmatic cooperation to continuously make new progress.

Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, and Guo Shengkun, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, also met with Teo Chee Hean Thursday.
