AMMAN, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Thursday reiterated that its position on the Palestinian issue is "constant" and based on the two-state solution, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Jordan's Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat said in a statement that King Abdullah II of Jordan has clearly stated the kingdom's stance on Jerusalem is constant.
The minister stressed the importance of the Palestinian issue, adding that Jordan exerts tremendous efforts at all levels, and the absence of a just solution to the issue will not bring about peace or stability to the region.
Jordan is committed to the two-state solution and the UN resolutions that lead to the creation of an independent Palestinian state at the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital.
